Russel Howcroft is the Chief Executive Officer of George Patterson Y&R working with clients such as AFL, Australian Defence Force, Australian Taxation Department, Medibank Private, Intralot, Cadbury Schweppes, Department of Sustainability, AGL, Sensis, General Mills, Austereo, Melbourne Racing Club, and Laminex amongst others.

Previously CEO of The Furnace, the Havas-owned agency he co-founded as Brandhouse in 1995, Russel has also worked for McCann Erickson and Lowe Howard-Spink in London and did a previous stint at George Patterson.

Russel is a permanent panel member of Andrew Denton's new ABC TV show "The Gruen Transfer", and a regular contributor to Lindy Burns afternoon show on ABC 774 in Melbourne.

He is a Board Member of The Melbourne International Arts Festival, The Melbourne Football Club, and The Advertising Federation of Australia

Recently, through a series of fortunate events, Russel has helped create and fund EMIT - one of Australia's first carbon trading company's.
